"I started roofing in the summer of 1985, and at age 15 I began roofing full-time — that was 1987. In August 1991, my boss kind of left town and left us with it, so I started my own company. Stephen was born and raised right here in the Wiregrass. Over 35 years, MAC Construction has mainly done residential roofing, but the crew has also worked on doctors' offices, churches, and apartment complexes — including traditional screw-down metal panels, standing seam metal, and flat roofs using single-ply membrane systems.
